The West Memphis Wastewater Treatment Plant started treating wastewater in 1970.  We currently treat 4,600,000 gallons per day of Influent Flow, 7000 pounds per day of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and 5500 pounds per day of Total Suspended Solids (TSS).  The Plant is operated in Oxidation Ditch mode with Plant capacity of 6.3 Million Gallons per day.  There are three Ditches total, holding 2.1 Million Gallons per Ditch.  Plant percent removal for Total Suspended Solids and Biochemical Oxygen Demand is 95.  Our goal here at the Treatment Plant is to do no harm to the environment.
